Faits et gestes
Soulier, Noé
PACt Zollverein

In ›Creation 2016‹ young French choreographer Noé Soulier continues to explore the ways in which we perceive and interpret movements by opening up a captivating discourse around how gestures can transmit the feeling of movement to the spectator or even, as in the case of sign language, create dialogues within the very medium of physical movement. Drawing on diverse skill sets and techniques, he questions the different status we attribute to movements such as practical actions, abstract choreographic phrases or fully articulated sentences, and how these in effect help us to trigger and reconfigure experiences.
