Mriziga, Radouan

In the eyes of choreographer Radouan Mriziga dance is akin to construction. During 3600 seconds four performers explore such an imaginary construction, seeking a linear, transparent choreography. New objects are being created on the spot through subtle, thrilling moves, slowly but surely transforming the dancers into craftsmen and architects. For ‘3600’ Radouan drew his inspiration from modern architecture and Islamic art, in which esthetics and function are of equal value.

The Moroccan and Brussels based dancer was a student of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker / P.A.R.T.S. and has been a resident at nomadic Arts Center Moussem since 2014. He previously created the solo performance ‘55’, a show built around the number 5.
