LET'S CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF P.A.R.T.S.
It's exactly 20 years ago that PARTS opened its doors.
Ten generations of students – from every corner of the world – have studied at PARTS over the last 20 years. Over the years more than 400 dancers and choreographers have studied at PARTS. To celebrate this special moment, we have asked three generations of graduated students to put together an evening at Beursschouwburg from November 12th till 14th.

Generation IX, Generation I and Generation VI have received a carte blanche.
Each generation is free to determine the content of the programme: existing or new work, re-enactments of old PARTS-formats or improvisations, impromptu, live or through projected images. A bridge between what was and what is. Or something else altogether. Each evening is coordinated by an artist duo from the generation in question.

14h-15h: Yentl de Werdt - workshop on Ayurvedic Massage (open level)

15h-16h: Benjamin Vandewalle (TBC)
16h-17h: Femke Gyselinck - "My Talking Is My Dancing" practice (open level).
This workshop will focus on the principle "My talking is my dancing" that Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker/Rosas has been investigating for the creation of Golden Hours (2015) . The intention of speaking as approach to movement to inspire dancers beyond formal-structural patterns, increasing the sense of meaningfulness without explicit meaning will be the core subject of this workshop. "My listening is my dancing" is inseparably related to "my talking is my dancing" so we will also research on how to embody the idea of listening. "My listening is my dancing" is a quest for embodying the reception and mute reaction to another one's "talking as dancing."
The aim is to find an individual and expressive way to talk and listen with the whole body without speaking out loud.
17h-18h: Eleanor Bauer - Dancing the Writing, Writing from Dancing (open level)
How can we address the gap between movement and words, the nature of thought in dancing, and the nature of thought in language? Can we make words come closer to the movement, to the body, to the mind of the dance? A workshop of dancing and writing, we will invite our language brain to be affected by our dancing, and see what happens.
