Sandra Iché studied History and Political Sciences at Université Paris I-Panthéon Sorbonne. In 2004, she joins P.A.R.T.S for the two years research cycle. In September 2006, she joins the dance company Maguy Marin/Centre Chorégraphique National de Rillieux-La-Pape and performs with the company internationally (May B, Umwelt, Turba,Description d’un combat). Since 2010, she pursues her artistic research on the logic of naturalization of constructed social realities and the fabrication and writing of History, through performances, interviews, movies, publications… In 2009, she published « L’Orient-Express : Chronique d’un magazine libanais des années 1990 » (Beirut, French Institute for the Near East). In 2012, she conceived the performance Wagons Libres, a futurist fiction which deploys theater to deconstruct the documentary device (premiere Parc de La Villette, Paris, February 2012). Wagons Libres is now touring in France and Europe. In 2013, she is laureate of the French Institute « Hors les Murs » program for a 3 months residency in Beirut. Sandra Iché is currently living in between Beirut and Lyon where she is one of the founding members of LIEUES, an experimental art space, and of Rodéo, a multidisciplinary magazine serving as a platform for artistic and academic practices.
