Cecilia Lisa Eliceche

Cecilia Lisa Eliceche was born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, where she started her ballet and contemporary training in the local conservatory.

In 2006 she moved to Brussels to attend the Training and Research Cycles at PARTS. During her studies she also went to NY as a Movement Research ex-change student and collaborate in DD Dorvilliers CPAU Get ready!

Currently she works as a freelance dancer in Brussels. Cecilia collaborates with Eleanor Bauer in her Triology (Triangle piece, Tent piece, Time piece), Claire Croize (Chant Eloigne, new creation), Etienne Guilloteau ( Solo, replacement for Tres Scripturae), Ayelen Parolin (Mateando), in NY for Heather Kravas (The Green Surround, Quartet).

Cecilia loves dance and works with the endless potential of the body and movement. As a choreographer she created Cow's Theory that won the second prize in the prix Jardin d'Europe “for its intense physical investigation of construction dynamics and social relationships”. Orpheous Over and Under : It’s a commission from Stuk Kunsten Centrum together with Transit Festival. With Pianist Yutaka Oya and Benjamin Van Esser on the homonymous music by David Lang. The dance is strongly inspired by ballet, cumbia and latin american folk forms. Unison a piece that explores this classical dance format in dialogue with the history of the medium from a personal feminist perspective, based on weaving, becoming, rituals and touch as concrete and cosmic sharing experience. The Non-Massage Bastardise Salsa Performance Commissioned by Susanne Berggren for “Party Paradise Spring in Karlstad, Sweden is an orgy salsa massage for non professional dancers to get to dancing and exorcise the fear of touching.

Cecilia is also developing a series of 2 week dance-researches called Dance Concerts, focused variably on movement, choreography, politics and process.

 Cecilia also collaborates with Manon Santkin for the Non-Massage-Dance and Natalia Martirena for Charlas.


As an activist she is a member of State Of The Arts and Hart Boven Hard as well as performing activism in her role as a consumer and member of the civil society. 

As of January 2015 she is working as an artist in residence in Wp Zimmer, Antwerp.
