Ludvig Daae

Ludvig Daae is a Norwegian choreographer and dancer working mostly in Stockholm and Brussels. Since he graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in 2008, he has worked with Deborah Hay (USA), Company Thor (BE), Mårten Spångberg (SE), Gunilla Heilborn (SE), Xavier Le Roy (FR) among others. Ludvig’s own works have been presented at Bâtard Festival (BE), MDT (SE), Vooruit (BE), Dansens Hus (NO), The Place (UK), Dansens Hus (SE), Moderna Museet (SE), Biennale de danse de Val du Marne (FR), Rencontres chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis (FR), Mousonturm (DE), Gessnerallee (CH) and Zodiak (FI) among others.

Ludvig is currently touring with his own solo MM, which in 2012 was chosen as the only Nordic act for the European dance network Aerowaves, Romantic Afternoon by German choreographers Sebastian Schulz and Verena Billinger and working as a dancer in Robin Jonsson’s (SE) new production The Hollows part 2, premiering in spring 2014. In 2013 he premiered two new productions of his own: The One that Became this One, a duet collaboration with Marie Kagrell (SE), premiered in May at MDT in Stockholm. In the fall of 2013, Ludvig premiered his new performance Fun, Laughs, Good Time. A trio inspired by the divas in popular culture and art. The performance premiered at co-producer MDT in September 2013, followed by a Norwegian premiere at the Oslo Opera House, during CODA (Oslo’s International Dance Festival) and a German premiere in Münich during co-producer Spielart Festival.
