Miguel Bonneville

(Oporto, 1985)

Graduated in Performing Arts by Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo (2000-2003), ' Artes Visuais' in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (2006),' Autobiografias, Histórias de Vida e Vidas de Artista' in CIES-ISCTE (2008), ' Arquivo – Organização e Manutenção’ in Citeforma (2013) and 'Costurar ideias' in Magestil (2013).
Through performances, drawings, photography, video, music and books of artists, Miguel Bonneville introduces us to autobiographical stories focused on the destruction and reconstruction of identity.
Since 2003 he has presented his work in art galleries and national and international festivals, especially the projects 'Family Project', 'Miguel Bonneville’ and ‘A importância de ser...’, namely in Spain, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, USA and China.
He works regularly with artists like Carlota Lagido, David Bonneville, Sónia Baptista, Joana Linda, Joana Craveiro and Maria Gil, having also collaborated with Francisco Camacho, Teatro Praga, Pablo Fidalgo, La Ribot, AVaspo, among others.
Was a resident artist at Sítio das Artes, CAMJAP - Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisboa, 2007), Homesession (Barcelona, 2008), Mugatxoan - Fundação de Serralves (Porto, 2010), Festival Transeuropa2012 (Hildesheim, 2012), Arts Printing House (Vilnius, 2013), Arte y Desarrollo (Madrid, 2014) and Azala (Lasierra 2014).
He was also part of the group of artists of the contemporary dance producer Eira (2004-2006) and of the 3+1 Arte Contemporânea Gallery (2009-2013).a
